We’re well versed in the print world (we even have a few print awards under our belt) & we LOVE sharing our knowledge with you. We can help you choose the best print methods, source the finest paper stocks, or keep your book as cost effective as possible. We can also offer print management, or just connect you with talented & suitable printers. Ask us ALL the questions (we’re a little [lot] print obsessed).
Complete In-program Spellcheck
You’re the real wordsmith, but you’ve read your copy time & time again. We’ll provide a complete spell check / scan of your copy to ensure it’s ready to be designed. Note: We do recommend using an external editor for all things grammar!
Styleguide, Colours & Typography Guidelines
Your book needs to look beautiful, just as it reads. Before we begin, we’ll create a style guide of sorts — to decide colours, typography & the overall design style of your book. This helps to create a match between the cover & internals.
Front & Back Cover Design
Let’s be frank. We all judge a book by it’s cover! We’ll create a beautiful front cover, back cover & spine to match. We can do this last or first (in case you want to use it to generate interest / host a presale!).
Internal Page Design
To us, the inside is just as important as the outside — once your reader has picked up the book (likely because the cover looked good), it’s the insides that keep them from putting it down. Based on the approved style guide, we’ll format each paragraph, each page, each chapter, to ensure it’s beautiful, easy to read & engaging for your readers.
Mockup Tiles to use on Social Media
The process is almost complete!—yippee! While your book is in print production we’ll create mockup tiles for you to use across socials. You could use them to create hype, or even to sell pre-orders... the choice is yours!
